Quality Assurance

Due to the highly critical nature of medical gas installation works, we pride ourselves on our safety record and all our engineers are highly skilled and experienced. Our management team is heavily invested in the health, safety, and well-being of our staff. With the aid of our trained and diligent staff, our Safety Representative and our independent external Health and Safety consultant, we are proud of our safety record both on-site and in our installations.

MIPS has developed new practices and technologies that allow us to offer great value and service to all of our clients. No matter what size the job is, MIPS will design, install, test and commission, validate as well as maintain medical and laboratory gas installations in a professional and fully compliant manner, whilst offering our services at a competitive cost.

We operate to the exacting HTM & ISO medical gas pipeline system standards. We are qualified and experienced in the installation and certification of Gas Distribution Systems under HTM 02-01 Section 2.28 and ISO 7396-1.
We are registered members of the British Compressed Gases Association and conform to BCGA Codes of Practice. We are an EIGA compliant gas installation company.

Customers who take out a maintenance contract with us will be legally compliant with their obligations and confident that MIPS will adhere to industry standards relevant to the client’s facility. This will ensure that the client will be compliant with the S.I. No. 445 of 2012 legal maintenance requirements, HTM 02-01 and ISO 7396-1 Maintenance Standards, MGPS testing and quality standards. MIPS offers its clients the comfort of our engagement of an independent specialist validation accessor as a guarantee of the quality of the maintenance service we supply.

In safety-critical environments, our full range of tests are carried out and reported on, and all necessary signed documentation is provided along with Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals and as-built drawings on project completion. In addition, MIPS offers clients medical gas policies and pipe layout drawings based on MIPS’s surveys of client’s facilities.

All components relative to a MIPS installation conform to industry guidance and recommendations and we have a proven track record in performance, reliability and customer service. Where applicable, we only use medical grade tubes (Table X or Table Y) that are capped off, degreased, cleaned and are BS EN 13348 compliant. We also have experience in installing all types of stainless-steel tubes and compressed air systems such as Simplair/Transair.

MIPS issue Risk Assessments Method Statements (RAMS) highlighting site-specific risks and strict work protocols associated with installation and ancillary works for every project.

We are committed to Safe Work Practices and a Quality Managed System of installation. Continuous training and improvement of professional skills are at the forefront of giving our clients a quality service on every contract.

To ensure client confidence, our Tax Clearance Certificate is available upon request and we maintain a 100% credit rating score with all major credit rating reference sites.
